Even wearing gloves isn't safe!

It was time to collect seeds for next year's planting. Sitting in front of me was a pile of four different hot peppers that were the biggest that the plants had.

I did it barehanded once, and YEOW. So this time I said ok, gloves. Out to the painting supplies for a selection of gloves. Back to the porch.

20 minutes later I had a pile of pepper meat, seeds laid out on paper to dry, and cleared sinuses. Checking the gloves and not finding any holes, I figured I was safe.

*cue the timpani drums*

Go inside, wash hands well, make a sandwhich. Take a bite out of the sandwhich and

HOT HOT HOT......

What!?!?!?!

Scrub hands again, try again.

FIRE.

Pull gloves out of trash, fill with water, and no leaks. So it seems the pepper juice went through the gloves! They were your standard non powdered latex whitish gloves. It took me a few hours before rubbing my eyes was a safe bet!

Moral of the story: Wear 3 pairs of gloves....

.....and don't trust them!
